Happy Clients, Happy Realtor

Everything’s Better in a Balanced State of Mind

A house is more than just a place for shelter—it is your refuge, your playpen, your family space. I’m like a midwife, helping you birth a new life by transitioning to your new space in the easiest way possible.

I want to make sure you are taking good care of yourself during home preparation and moving. When people are stressed, it is more challenging to make good decisions.

A few months ago, after working for 3 weeks straight, I got into my car and without even looking, backed into another car. I almost jumped out of my skin! Lesson learned: poor self-care let my normally good driving habits slip into an accident.

For good self-care, I need social time, fun, and stress reduction in order to be an effective Realtor. For me, good social connections amount to cooking meals and spending time regularly with friends, playing music and taking saxophone lessons from Andrew Martinez at SBCC so I can join the Prime Time Band.

Fun for me means going for hikes, and camping at Joshua Tree. I recently started taking yoga classes from Jen Newman at Yoga Soup. Slowing my breath, feeling into my heart’s rhythms, and stretching/relaxing help me be more patient and content.

Stress Reduction also comes from taking personal growth workshops, such as those offered by Tony Robbins, The Hendricks Institute, the Human Awareness Institute, and the Vissells at the Shared Heart Foundation. I also have Rosen Method sessions with Meg Butler, and Swedish Deep Tissue work from Jesse Ramos of UpScale Massage. These institutes and peopleare all part of my tool kit, just as I want to be part of yours.

No matter what gets thrown at me – scheduling challenges, counter-offers—they all work out better when I am in a relaxed frame of mind. This is especially true for apologies and acknowledgements.

How do you react when you are stressed? Do you just do more? Even though there are endless things to do, you will be more effective if you do it while you are level-headed and relaxed.

When I work with clients, I make sure both of us avoid getting stressed out. Letting go of an old home and its life patterns and embracing a new one can leave you feeling vulnerable. As an experienced Realtor who understands what you are going through, I am committed to offering you both informative guidance and emotional support. As a gesture of appreciation, I would like to jump start your next chapter: a complimentary massage by a professional realtor will be scheduled for you once we decide to work together. Call me to discuss your unique
situation.

Scott has a team of contractors to help with every aspect of home improvement and selling. He managed the process of getting our house in condition to rent, and in making additional improvements several years later when we were ready to sell. The house was so well prepared that we received multiple above-asking offers at the first open house. Scott is a strong and ethical negotiator, and escrow went without a hitch. Finally, selling a house involves emotion. Scott was sensitive to our own situations and remained a steady support for us during the process. We enthusiastically recommend Scott.
